Jason Lowery is a spook?
There are some in the bitcoin community who believe this to be the case.
They believe that certain people are out there to work against bitcoin. I am sure some are here for that reason.
Their fervor and “toxicity” is a feature, not a bug.
Iron sharpens iron.
Bitcoiners like to test themselves and others; while in the process forging true believers and purging the rest.
“The crucible,” as Alex Stanczyk says.
From my perspective Jason seems to be working on showing the government they MUST accept a bitcoin standard because the race has already been run, and they need to get on board.
The faster the freest country on Earth does that, presumably the better for the dollar, stability, and rest of the world.
Maybe I am wrong…
American Founders, “pledged their lives fortunes and sacred honor.”
“It pays to be a winner,” as the SEALs say.
We’re not here to be martyred, we want to win.
Bitcoiners are prepared to die on this hill; peacefully transitioning property rights and sound money back to the hands of every citizen on the planet.
What do you believe in and how committed to it are you?
As Jesus would say, “Picking up your cross and laying down your life.”
The American Founders also pledged to each other everything in the name of freedom.
Freedom they knew they may never see but it was worth standing for regardless, because it was right and true.
For their posterity.
This was the story of bitcoin since the beginning…
The problem many “smart” people still have…
Think of all the “computer guys” and shadowy super coders who didn’t “get money” and they got bored with the code/network and abandoned the bitcoin project, lost bitcoin keys, sold, or went to alt-coins.
Many didn’t, and still don’t, understand the significant importance of bitcoin.
Biggest issue is people don’t understand money.
That IS the problem.
And why generally people in developing countries get it before people in developed countries.
What is money?
Most have no idea it’s broken, let alone that there is a “solution.”
Like Greg Foss says, people just go along with the current system because that is all they know or have been taught.
Most have never had real hardship in America or western counties.
Then sh*t hits the fan and they get what bitcoiners were saying, finally.
You need the layers of experience or battle wounds to get something new, early on.
Most people are getting by and people aren’t hurting enough to have a whole step-change in their life and admit the fiat life they have only known was a lie.
That takes a lot of pain to realize the life they have been living was completely rigged against them.
ECB says last legs for bitcoin and other article saying how it’s use case is all there!
Just remember these people aren’t all infinitely smarter than you.
They are faking it and hoping they “land the plane.”
Now on the hopeful side, “We ARE the government,” as Jeff Booth says.
And the more people we have in our camp to apply pressure, the faster freedom is adopted.
Government will have to capitulate.
We want to orange-pill as many people as possible so that we don’t have a Mad Max scenario or Walking Dead world we are living in where the fiat world has collapsed.
Where the debasement of our currency/wealth has increased so much that the world is at war with each other.
This is the biggest threat in the world in my eyes; the ballooning wealth inequality gap.
Young kid’s energy will win.
Younger generations will inevitably come to power as hippie bubble bursts and we will vote for accommodative policies over next 10+ years.
“Demographics are destiny,” as Harry Dent says
I don’t actually foresee us running in to as many of the problems we prognosticate now.
Could the unproductive class make it harder on bitcoiners in the short term? Yes.
Could bitcoiners be deemed domestic or financial terrorists. Yes.
Could societal pressures be ratcheted up on us exponentially? Yes.
I believe this is what Jason Lowery is trying to avoid, by publishing his thesis.
All mentions and thought around bitcoin is good news for bitcoin.
People need it in their conscious mind more and more.
Remember, “You don’t change bitcoin. Bitcoin changes you.”
We will have opposition no matter what. That will happen.
How we respond and how prepared we are to weather those FUD storms and provide signal amidst the chaos will be the key to winning the race, so we don’t have to fight the war.
Stay strong,
Brandon
